Yes, I just received a call from them about a few minutes ago, and also about 20 minutes ago. Says that they are investigator "Morgan Springs". I know that this is a scam. It is very scary that they got my phone number. I experienced something similar to this a few weeks after my husband passed away a couple of months ago. Always a call from "Georgia", but we know it is not from there.
I receive at least 4 to 5 calls a day leaving the same fraud message. Also a monica calls leaving the same message. And a male caller also calls with the same message. The name escapes me at the moment
I have been getting the same calls for about a week now atleast one call daily if not more. I t had me a nervous wreck because at first I though someone stole my bank info, but then I listenened again and thought how on earth am I involved in a fraud investigation. I find it strange no company name and that she also hasn't stated my name at all in any message. It just seems very suspicious to me the same number also.
678-203-0379,770-824-3222,404-793-5989,770-818-6306...all the same scammers. Turn them into the feds. Call Georgia Atty general office since these are all GA numbers.
Received 4 calls from an Investigator Morgan Springs that I am being investigated for fraud and that my name, social security number, and bank account information are all involved. I am told that myself or my attorney must respond immediately before charges are filed and litigation in my county of residence.
It is ILLEGAL to falsely assuse someone of criminal activity in an attempt to collect a debt. I will be contacting an attorney and suing these [***] pursuant my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Act. I encourage you all to do the same.
Total scam. Fraud is a crime, i f you were suspected of that crime you'd have been interviewed by members of law enforcement. Deb collectors have nothing to do with the criminal justice system. This is just an attempt to scare you into paying them something. Ignore the calls and block them.
