so this number 404-855-7905 has been calling my cell phone and then now my work phone. they just leave a recording message about it being ACP about an item being returned from my bank. have no idea what is going on but do not like them calling me or my work. i could loose my job. what to do???

These are all the same people. They called me stating they are the state of Florida telling me at 10:30am stating that their lawyers were going to court at 1pm and i would have the cops at my door by the end of the day to pick me up and take me to jail for 48hrs for questioning and then 6months unless i can get bonded out for $4,500. I am a single mother with a lot of health issues and was very upset. She said she would see if the lawyers would accept a cash settlement, they came back with $765 (side note: the debt is from 4yrs ago and i am 99.9% sure i paid it) I said i could only do $250 and "her lawyers" said that would not do so they would be going to court and issuing for my arrest. After reading all of these I am glad I did not pay! I guess I will get with my lawyer anyway though. Oh and Rosa Jones was very persistent that I would be doing jail time no matter what and wanted me to think about my children before I decide not to pay.
I have received several calls from these people, the (404) 855 7905 number is an auto dialer, it refers to another number (800) 957 1987 which claims to be a company called ACS. Both of these numbers are associated with a third number (678) 894 2189, which in turn claims to be "KW Associates". NONE of these people are legitimate in any way shape or form. Report any contact with them to the Georgia Attorney General's office in Atlanta and Level 3 Communications LLC, their phone service provider.
I received a phone call from an unknown number and they said that they were sheriffs and that I owe the debt and they have
a summons on me to go to jail and then they had me call Jason at 928 235 6603
then he stated that I was going to jail if I didn't pay $400 and $100 a month and I told them I'm a sick woman and I can't afford to pay back and I said I could pay $50 and he laughed and said are you insulting my agency but that's when I found out that they were fraud I call my attorney at my attorney told me not to give him any information but me at that I got I became so scared
and they called me at Rochester and they're from California hi in the world they got my information I would like to know that that's why I reported them to the FBI and they will get caught eventually if they call me one more time I'm what I have them trace the call from where there calling and they will be caught eventually haha the game is on you.
You will find out that most of these scam calls are from Asia. Just tell such callers to send proof of debt by US Mail. Not fax, text, or email, but US Mail. Then hang up & keep hanging up on any caller that threatens you, or you just don't want to talk to. Laugh at them. What are they going to do? Take the next bus from Mumbai? On to the Dry Tortugas & then left. You might want to consider buying call blocking equipment for a land line phone, blocking app for a cell phone.
