Old Testament versus New Testament. All of the things you cite from the Bible are Old Testament. Christians follow the New Testament, with the Old Testament being a history book. Too many people confuse the two. The Old Testament laws are still followed b some faiths outside of Christianity (Judaism, the Koran is based on the Old Testament laws, etc). And yes, the part about being gay is in the Old Testament too.
I am a sales rep in a small family owned furniture store. I get a call from this number about 3 to 5 times a week. I pick up and no one answers. "Dead Air" like someone mention. I am with a customer or on the other line and I have to pick up and its very frustrating when no one answers. It interrupts my business. A few times potential customers walk out of the store because I answer the phone. It costs me sales. It cost me money. Its not right. Please do not call again IF you are not going to answer. If you call again I'll pickup and if you answer I'll hear you out. Thats what you do when you use a phone.

Has received a call at my office, from this phone#, for the last 3 days (starting April 11,2016). Unfortunately, my company used to use my office# as their company phone number, and I get calls like this all the time. Because of that, I don't usually answer calls that I don't recognize. I came here to check it out and saw the discussion...not going to get into that, but at least I know not to answer this call again.
I have been a Christian for my entire life (almost 50 years), never once have I been told by anyone that as Christians we are to disregard the teachings of God put down in writing before Jesus as "a history book". I was taught that the Old Testament simply refers to the portion of the bible that is the basis for Judaism, and is the beginning of the word of God. The Bible is a collection of stories written over roughly 1600 years that tells the path of God and to God, yes it is broken up into two distinct sections based on the birth of Christ. Never once does the New Testament indicate that it is ok to simply dismiss the Old Testament. Oh, also the New Testament is very clear that we are NEVER to judge as it is not our place, it is only God's place to judge. Thank you.
