I just rec'd one of these calls. I called back the 404-888-3333 number and a female voice mail message states that a Jed or Jeb Carroll of Carter is not at his desk, please leave a message.
My phone rings, I pick up receiver and no one there. This type of call has become more frequent in recent weeks. Tracing back the call to a 1-404-888-3333 number, I called the number and a female voice mail message informs me that I have reached the desk of a Jed or Jeb Carroll at Carter, and please leave a message. This area code is in the Atlanta Georgia area. I live in Canada. I do not know a Mr.Carroll at Carter. However if this fellow wishes to present me with a sizeable gift of cash I will speak to him.
Yep the phone rings, I answer and no one says a word. They don't hang up. They just stay on the line saying absolutely nothing. Looked it up on the internet and this is what I come up with.
The number is registered to Carter & Associates-Oncor RL Estate - Property Management & Leasing in Atlanta, Georgia,

Any company can make a fake name up. Don't believe for one minute that its a real estate company. Positive it's those blasted telemarketers........they think they don't bother us enough as it is, so now we get silent phone calls from them. Likely their way to check to see when the home owner is home eh? Nice way of doing a survey to help themselves determine when the home owner is home so they can call more !!!!! Nice little scam these jerks are up to.
