Just got a "picture message" saying Your Credit Union debit card has a pending alert. Call now toll free: 404-891-1102 and follow instructions to resolve this alert."
I am also T-mobile
I too received a call from this number and got the same message as many of you did, I am also on TMobile,
I called TMobile to see if any one had reported the same, according to the Rep I spoke with there had not been any other reports or complaints, all they offered me was at an additional cost to me was to block the
number, not much help uh.
Two other family members received the same picture text message.
I just got the same thing. I called out of curiosity...and there is just an electronic recording asking for your 16 digit credit card number so they can "verify" that you are the card holder so they can remove the "hold" on your credit card. I hung up...I don't even have a credit card.
I got 3 MMS msgs from this number last night and was hesitant to open it. I didn't know if ppl can send viruses to a phone like they can to a computer with emails, but i'm told that's not possible. Someone also told me that he heard on the news that there are scams going around that send you an MMS msg and if you open it they make all sorts of charges to your phone. I did call the number just to see what it was and it was the same as all comments above, asking for a credit card number and I don't even have a credit card. I thought it was kind of fishy since there's no name for this so called credit card company on the recording. I also have T-Mobile. I never opened the msg, and I'm glad I didn't. I also did a reverse phone lookup on it and every site I looked at said it was a landline based out of Atlanta, GA.
