These jokers just called me. Claimed they were calling from some Wellness Center. Then the caller forgot his lines and hung up. They've been at this for a few years now. They must be scamming some suckers or they wouldn't keep trying.
i have told them to put me on the no calling list i have picked up and no one says anything they just keep calling for two weeks after i pressed 1 its getting to be harrasment what can i do
Received a call mid-afternoon Pacific Time. Very heavy accent, "vague" company name. Attempting to set me up with free consultation to lower our electric bill. I answered a few questions about how much we pay and whether or not our roof is shaded (?!) before it started to seem pretty sketchy. Declined to give my email address, but did spell out my first and last name ... Wouldn't answer when I asked repeatedly the name of the company he was calling from, and he finally gave me "Solar Energy Conservation," which doesn't appear to be anything real. Can some scam happen even if no personal information aside from a name is given?
Oh! Forgot the creepiest part!! At the end of the conversation, there was a ton of clapping and cheering in the background -- sounded like a roomful of people started applauding.
This number has called 7 times today thus far. They called 8 times yesterday. If I answer, they always ask for my husband. They always say that he has requested some sort of quote for car insurance, screen windows, etc. online and they want to send someone out for a free estimate. If I don't answer, they NEVER leave a message. At this point, the frequency of the calling has become harassing. I don't think I can block numbers on a cell phone.
