They've started calling me with the Tea Party ID. It is so regular for scammer's to call here, that I usually unplug the phone for the whole day unless I really need it on for a short while. I'm paying $50.00 a month for the privilege of being called by scammers every day all day. I've decided that I'm going to start saying the freakiest and scariest things I can think of to these agents of Satan just for some payback.
This number has called, roughly, 50 times in the last 20 days or so.
It has the heading name tea party patriot, or some such.
We are on the do not call list, and the "political party" excuse does not
legally hold up, as they are not a registered political party. I don't think
what they are doing is legal. Can anyone come up with a serious
solution?

The exemption is for "political organizations" (not "political parties"). They are protected by the First Amendment's provisions defending free speech.
