I received a phone call from this number about twice a day. One right before lunch 12:00 and another before 6-7pm. I answer and I can hear someone on the other side, but they never say anything. I say Hello about 3 times, but they don't say a word. What is this, high school? Really? Anyways, this didn't start happening until I responded to a text saying I won a $1000 gift card to Best Buy. It's a scam. All they want is your personal/credit card information. DO NO GET FOOLED! I called a Best Buy and they said when you win a real gift card, the nearest store will call you or their corporate number will, but they will leave you a message if you don't answer. Unfortunately the number that text me (413)768-0357 and the number that calls me (404)902-5814 is not listed or found. I guess the only way to stop this is to change my number.
I found a government website that will investigate these fraud numbers/scams. You just have to report a complaint. They also have a Do Not Call list so telemarketers don't call you.
