Bull**** those 2 messages from Samantha Longeria and April Willis are fake...!!! I contacted a Lawyer and this # was reported as a SCAM!!, don't believe a word they say!!!
Got a call from this number yesterday. They said they represented Cogan and Powers law firm. They said I owed money for a payday loan (which I do unfortunatley). They said because I haven't paid it back and the bank account I was using was closed now I have 2 felony charges of check fraud pending. I asked for this info in writing and the "attorney" said I would find all of that info out when I was picked up by the cops "tomorrow". I asked how to resolve the situation (knowing good and well I wouldn't pay THIS particular person a dime since I didn't know who she was) she said she would connect me to the repayment department and I could pay with a credit card. I explained I didn't have one and she said "well you better get to calling your friends and family". I was appauled! She said I had one hour to call her back and make the "restitution" payment well over double what I owed or she was signing off on my papers and sending them to the District Attorney's office in a suburb of where I lived. BOGUS!!! I have since spoken with the Attorney General, District Attorney's office and the office of consumer credit commission. All of which have told me this is a scare tactick and do not pay them a dime. Also, pay day loan repayment checks are not constituted as "hot checks". I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. Hope no one gets taken by these horrible people.
