I received a call from this number because I am a police officer I know the check laws very well I also took it upon myself to check the validity of this "Independent Private Investigations Firm" they are a legitimate company Paragoninvestigation.net they locate people for the process servers to ultimately file a warrant in your county although sometimes this can be a process don't take this matter likely it you ever wrote a bad check take care of it if given the opportunity you must ask questions if you cooperate often times they will allow restitution outside of court if the case hasn't been processed over to the process server.
They called my mother's house claiming they need a statement from me in regards to a $55.00 bad check given to a tow truck company back in 2005. I have no idea what they are talking about. When I called 404- 220-9939 the woman identified herself as a private investigator and if I didn't cooperate there would be a warrant issued for my arrested. I find it very odd when I called that she only asked for my name and no other questions. I could have been anyone. Also a man called and left a message but when I did return the call it was a woman that was handling my case. She was extremely unprofessional and I just hung up on her. It's so crazy how they can keep getting away with this....she didn't even give me the company she was with...

person called and ripped me off for $150 for a bill I didn't owe using scare tactics of high court cost, court summons and warrants. said she was named jennifer minor and a private investigator
Hello and thanks for the input, I had a simular situation and call.
In my case it is for a check written on a business check from 11/12/07 in the Denver Colorado area. I am confussed as all he can offfer me is a check number, account number and no amount except it is over $500.00.
He further tells me that they will get a warrant for me in my county now in Arizona for (1) Check Fraud and (1) Theft by deception under Federal Law???
Why would this be a fed case and not a local Colorado case? Why would they get a warrant from an Arizona county and why would the county even take the case?
They cant even tell me who I owe other than it was written to a car dealership I use to deal with, but I do not know or remember writing this check..
And it was on a busienss corporation account I owned?
I got the call and let it switch over to my voice mail.
It was not for me, but the person did say he was an investegator.
This sounds like some type of scam to me !!!!!!
I will report this information if I ever get a call back from 404-220-9939.
