If this is the Fraternal Order of Police calling, then it is no ordinary donation ‘scam.’ The FOP has gotten into national politics and has alienated a large group of people for political reasons.
If you plan on supporting them, then you better Google what they are up to and what you would be supporting before you give away your money.
They've been calling our home in Georgia several times a week here recently.
Even though I had received just one call from this number on December 19th, and even though it gets diverted by the service that we can not name here, because this is at least the 9th number that uses the same "cover" for calls back to them (callback -> fake but reasonable-sounding message about office hours), I decided to block it. Turned out to be a good one to block: I just checked my call logs and see that two times since I blocked it, it called 6 times in a row, on Dec 23 and again on the 29th. I came back here to see if there was any new information, and I'm glad I did, since I see someone determined that they claim to be calling for the FOP. I have had calls soliciting for "Fraternal Order of Police" from THIRTY different numbers since December of 2013.
