My caller ID simply showed the number 404-935-9220... I have been expecting a couple calls from folks whose numbers I don't know so I picked it up on the 2nd ring. Immediate hang up. I called the # back. Fund raising. I just got laid off after 20 years, maybe I should try a fund raising scam? I added the number to my phone's call blocker. Apparently it's the GA FOP. I wonder what percent of anything they collect actually gets to those they purport to be raising funds for? I selected Non Profit as caller type, but have serious qualms about that.......
The phone rings three times & then stops, who can get to their phone in 3 rings?
I called the number and it is an automated voice saying that they are fundraising and to follow the instructions if I have questions. It also says it will call back again later.
Called three times in one day and left no messages. Caller ID log identifies them as "GAFOP" which I guess stands for Georgia Fraternal Order of Police. Probably fundraising.
We received calls from this number Monday and Tuesday several times a day. Me and my husband have both answered and they just sit there on the line until we hang up. I have a loud horn with a huge siren that we will blow into the phone when that number calls again...heee hee
