Homeland security, FBI, CIA and such and possibly your local media, they are obligated to investigate your concerns as a citizen. The IRS should be aware as well but don't expect much, they are not classified as enforcement to these issues and take low priority to handle them. Most of this can be done online. Calls from a foreign country attempting to aquire your personal information is a serious matter that could lead to issues of national security. False passports and such. The fact that you were contacted opens future problems for you, expect different approaches. It's easier to fool people than to convince them they'd been fooled. Good luck.
also got a phone call, scared my husband to death, tried calling the number back, no answer. Figured it was a scam, then googled the number and found these messages, thanks all, puts our mind at ease. Also, don't ever give anyone over the phone your SS# unless you know for sure who it is. Verify first.

Slow down Rich.. this scam has been around for several years now. Go back and read my post above for the proper places to report!
You also need to realize the majority of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. The only thing they want to acquire is your money through extortion!
