This number left a message for me saying someone I knew had used me as a reference, her name was Melissa McCoy or Coy (couldn't understand her very good) ext 113. I called her back (in hindsight I hope that wasn't a bad move on my part) . She said she was investigating fraud on an application for a gal I know and that I needed to contact my friend and have her call this number immediately. . When I called my friend she was very concerned as she hasn't placed applications anywhere and hasn't used me as a reference for years!!! When I googled this number I found it's out of Atlanta GA and then I found this complaint web site.
These individuals have called several times on my cell phone of all places! I never answer and they have left no real messages just to call them back. One time the same individual called and was cussing in the back ground and then hang ups. What kind of collection agency is this? I don't even bother answering.
I received a call from these idiots on July 29, 2009, and they left me a message to call 888-229-5566, ext 107. When I called back on this same day, a recording indicates "Thanks for calling Williams Scott and Associates". After pressing the "0", I was connected to a female who claims she was the one who called me and asked me for my address. I told her to give me the address you have on file, and then she replied with some foreign mess. She then wanted to know the telephone number for which I received the call, again I told her to give me the number she had on file, which she could not. She then asked me if I had an extention of the person who called and I told her "107", she said "Oh, you need to leave him a message because this is serious......
I called on July 30, 2009, and spoke to "Ace Flemm", at "107" and when I told him he called me on yesterday and what is the nature of the call, he wanted to know the case number. I told him you did not leave one he then asked me if I was related to a "Melvin" I told him "no". Then he wanted me name, which I gave him, and he claims he could not find nothing on me. He then stated he was calling regarding one of my relatives for which I asked who, and he stated "James, which is what I asked you a minute ago". I told him since you don't know who or what you are talking about, because you can't even remember the names idiot. I then asked him if he wanted to purchase some real estate in the "Everglades" of course he then hung up the phone.
Received a call from these idiots over the last week or so. A Bland Mitchell left me a msg telling me he had an urgent matter on his desk which needed to be taken care of immediatly. When I did call him back at 888-229-5566 X109 he told me I owed a debt from 3 years ago and when I asked him to provide me with the information he became enraged and told me that he would do no such thing. I told him until he could produce some information I would not continue the conversation. He called me all sorts of names and when I went back at him and told him that he was being a complete jerk he said I am going to report you to every agency that he could. I then told him that he would be reported to the Attorney General in my state and he screamed at me don't ever call me again, I did though just to get at him and everytime I called the number back he hung up on me. They have taken to calling again and I refuse to answer this man is just plain stupid for lack of a better word.
I just got a call from 888-229-5566 x 111 from a Wyatt claiming he was from William Scott&Assoc stating the same exact thing that I was going to go to civil court from a payday loan from last year unless I settle for $315..when I told him to give me the address to send in payment I got a physical street address called Crooked Creek along with a P.O. box and was to call him before sending in my payment? I told him to go ahead and sue me and send me my papers in the mail.. such a bunch of bull it's sad these people try to rip people off...
