Got a call from this number claiming that I had done check fraud and that I needed to pay 763 for it to go away. I got called stupid after I told this man that I didn't have the money nor did my family members. He again called me stupid and said he was going to forward the call to the sheriffs office and have them come pick me up. WTF
THESE PEOPLE ARE CON ARTISTS!!! IF THEY CALL YOUR HOUSE, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. IT IS TIME TO FILE TAXES AND THEY ARE HOPING THAT THEY CAN LIE AND SCARE YOU INTO PAYING THEM MONEY. IF THEY CALL YOU, GET AS MUCH INFO THAT YOU CAN ABOUT THEM (COMPANY NAME, PERSON CALLING, ETC...) AND FILE A REPORT ONLINE TO THE FTC AT https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ AND ALSO WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE IN GEORGIA.
