I picked up the call today and they said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Association. Probably not offically affiliated with OHP. I just hung up after letting him know we were not interested.
I got a call from 45-228-3229 the caller ID just said OK.It is the Oklahoma Troopers Association. These people collect money for the troopers fund, but they are more persistant that bill collectors! I told them that I couldnt' give them money this year and please don't keep calling, I have a baby in the NICU and have more important things to use my phone for, and they still keep calling, once a week at least for the past two months, babies home now, but I'm not giving money to someone that harrasses people like that.
Just received a call (4-1-08; 8:50p) from the same number. When I advised them that the Oklahoma State Troopers Association was the only recognized association in Oklahoma, the gentleman continued to ask for a donation. I repeated myself. This time he thanked me for my time and hung up.
405-228-3229, when I answer no one is there. Called the number back and got the message (man's voice), "We're out of the office right now, leave a message and we'll get back to you right away." I wait. (woman's voice) "Mailbox full, call back later." Yeah, right.
