They have to PROVE you owe the debt, not you.
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA.about your rights.
Your house payment comes first.
I work for an attorney and no one here has heard of Murphy Law Firm, nor can I find a listing for Murphy Law Firm with that telephone number matching. So, they will not receive a call back
The phone number is for CAC Financial. They call and do not leave a message. They have turned a $15 debt into the credit bureau that I have already paid.
I get a voicemail at least once a day on my cell. If I send them directly to voicemail they call back again.
I started a new job and they found my number here, and they call here constantly, and I answered it one day, they said they had papers to serve me, and they were taking me to court. I told them I am at work, and any personal calls can be called on my personal phone and hung up. They continued to call my work after I hung up on them.
