Exactly. They have absolutely no connection to veterans. They want your money. Try letting your answering machine pick up. They will keep calling for a while, but at least you don't have to pick up the phone. I quit answering the phone all together. If it's legitimate, they'll leave a message. If they don't, it's B.S.
I received a call from the FAV, a so called organization to help veterans. I told them i would give them a $ 20.00 donation. The man then asked if i would hold on and talk to a person to get my information. A woman came on wanting to know what credit card I would be using..... RED FLAG..... I told her i would of given a donation had they not been a scam to get my card number. Being a senior citizen, I am having to be very careful with all these scammers out there. I hope they get shut down and I hope no one gives them their credit card numbers.
I have had several of these phone calls. This morning it was from a slightly different last four digits than in the phone number than previous calls. Today the number was 405-437-2578 FAV. It is our local area code but it says out of the area.
