Craigslist Scam!! I have a wedding dress posted (in central florida) and got this reply when asked if the dress was still available:

Thanks for the email,i am buying the dress for the bride as a a gift for her wedding.I am the pastor to the bride and really want to surprise her with this present.I am ok with the price of the dress and will also include an extra $50 for the shipping to the bride's resident and please let me know if the money if not enough for the shipping.My mode of payment will be through Bank Certified Check and will wait till you have the cash in hand before the shipping to the bride.Reply me with your information such as your full name and address with a phone number to mail out the check and also you can have the posting deleted secure my purchase.

The address doesn't exist and I found others that had the same exact e-mail but with a different phone number. Beware.
I have a wedding gown I listed on Craigslist just last week I too got a very odd email from Phillip B Soto of Oklahoma and decided too check his name and found this site..he asked me to send to his fiance' who saw my gown wanted it but she was in an accident and so he was sending a check for 2800 my dress is 400..keep 100 for shipping then send through western union the balance to her with the dress! my fiance' told me not to give our home address use his business one it didnt sound right.. this is a copy of the actual email

USPS).The amount i placed with my company is a refund for a canceled order and been a refund it can only be written on a single check so
that is why i want you to receive these amount and after depositing and cleared your bank you should send the difference to the bride for her wedding dress and also booking of receptions hall for engagement/wedding before the wedding date. This person is STILL getting away with scams!!! They really need to do something about this person- got two emails from him about my wedding dress posted on craigs list...why haven't they got in any trouble yet?!? It is fraud!!!
