I just got a call, it hung up on me. Called them back and someone answered aplologizing that the system keeps making the calls on it's own and they're trying to get it to stop. He also said that they are "Students against drugs" and nothing was going on right now so it was a system issue and he apologized very politely and friendly like. It was a pleasant situation (unlike most calls I get that start off like this). The time it called was after 8pm cst.. It was an automated call (that was accidentally calling out against the wishes of the employees, who were wishing to go home but their phones kept ringing from us calling them back LOL).

They said they Metro Firefighters but caller id shows SADA 405-671-8515 and they said they were collecting money for the Edmond Firefighters. This is a scam. The true City of Edmond does not call people begging for funds for their Fire and Police Departments. I should know I work for the City of Edmond.
I got call tonight, caller ID showed SHOA as well. She said they are collecting for burn victims; saying that their has been many fires and that they need help rebuilding. She said that it was also for fallen Fire Fighters. The fact that they are calling for two entirely different things; and this number has showed up with people asking for money for the Troopers Assoc. (I know that they don't solicit monies in this fashion). It would appear that these people are scam artists and I wouldn't and won't give them a dime.
