The Do Not Call Registry does NOT stop these calls. I make sure EVERY phone I have is registered with it and still get at least 2 dozen telemarketer calls a month. The DNC Registry is a waste of tax dollars.
If the are code and number is not familiar to you, don't answer the call. The more you keep answering the more they will call. If it's something important/urgent or emergency, I'm sure they will leave a message otherwise, just ignore the call and Google the number to find out who's really calling. If you continue doing this they will stop calling, I can guarantee you. Well, so far it worked for me.
