i got the same message but when i txtd baxk they said sorry phone is going to die msg me on yahoo messenger the acc they gave me to message is txtiegirly02
Same here. Had my name, which makes me wonder where they got all our names. I have a friend who gets called by a screaming angry and verbally abusive man 20-30 times a day demanding his last name, I wonder if thus is the same kind of scam? I think ill get on yahoo and dig up some more info on what kinda scam they are running, ill post back here to let everyone know. If they have our names they got em from likely the same source, I'm wondering what our common denominator is/was..
Am guessing it's not the same scam. Your friend's call requires a human (an angry one but still a human) but other posters report texts which may be done by a robot or malware that has infected a friend's phone -- a totally different attack vector.
Got text fr this # saying "hey Holly" I did text back said hey who is this lol?! They texted back " said do u use Y messenger if so they use textiegirlie272" then they texted back saying " grr mi fon is bout to die!!!" I responded don't text me! Shoot!!!! I'm I lil nervous now!!!
