They just called back & I answered - the automated system says they are the investigative team for the IRS.
The IRS will not EVER call to say you owe them money - everything will be done by mail & probably certified.
I had the same message on my mother in laws phone. I knew it was a scam so I called them back over and over. Now the numbed can't be reached. Mission complete. Hahahaha
Fraud. I told the guy i was calling my attorney, the police and the IRS myself. And to make sure they get that on recording. Considering the IRS doesnt call ppl for money, Ever, Im sad for those who believe them :(
I just got a call from phone number 406-552-4940,calling from Montana at 2:13 PM on friday, may 19.
I was told that I have 4 serious aligations against me from the IRS,and if I did not call that number within 24 hours that my name and address would be turned over to the cops and that I would be arrested.
