I don't know who this is, and I can't assume it's related to the election because it would not be a good idea to make potential voters angry, which I am. I tried calling the number, and I don't get anything -- no busy signal, no ring, nothing at all.
Have received 3 calls from this number over the past 3 days - they don' leave a message & when I call back I either get a busy signal or am disconnected. I assume this is associated with the upcoming election, but can't tell since we don't answer and they don't leave a message.

I have been getting daily calls from 406-558-4708. Today, for example, I got five (!) calls from it! It is a number out of Helena, Montana, and they are pushing some sort of new legiislation. When I asked for further information, such as the caller's name, they hung up on me.
After that, I did some research. Doing a reverse lookup on the number merely gives "Helena, Montana"; nothing more. I called the company who services the number, Qwest, which is now Centurylink. They could not tell me who exactly owns the number, only provide me with the following information:
To block this number for FREE (or so I'm assured), dial *60 on the phone you are getting the calls from this number on. Follow the prompts to block it. Also, you can call 1-866-642-0444 to get on the "unsolicited calls banned list." It is well worth doing, although it took about ten minutes of simply waiting while the service tech did God-knows-what. Just make sure they don't tack on the desired $6.95 monthly charge for having an unlisted number. You should be able to be unSOLICITED WITHOUT being "unlisted."
For those of you into thoroughness, Centurylink is owned by Level3 Communication, LLC, which is the "owner" that pops up anytime you try to reverse lookup this number. Level3 owns Qwest, which has become Centurylink.
