Called again asking for former IT manager. When I again advised that the person he was asking for was available through email contact only, he asked for the name of the current IT manger, which I would not provide. ID'd himself as "Tony" calling on behalf of "Microsoft"; wanted to invite our IT manager to an event on May 7th. Sent him to generic voice mail
Claimed to be Business 2 Business Hub. I get calls all the time from this and similar number sequences, and they claim to be someone different every time. I've been given HP, Fire I, Tech Communities, B2B Connection, FedEx, Citibank.
They are always phishing for information. I just tell them that whoever they are asking for do not take calls from the switchboard and they hang up!
Called multiple times asking for an IT manager. I told him I couldn't transfer him, and that the guy he was looking for did not work for our company. I could barely understand him due to the Indian accent. He hung up when I asked for his contact info.
Earlier this week, a man with an accent called for three different employees, none of whom are at this location. "Mark" wanted to send them an informational email. I said that kind of inquiry is considered a solicitation and must be sent via standard mail per company policy. He wrote down the address and hung up. So far today, he's called for two of the same three people, and I told him that we've already gone over this. He said Thank You and hung up. At least he was polite. However, the number on Caller ID was 207-307-0333, which is Maine.
