Have received two calls 8-3-09 and one 8-4-09 regarding reducing the interest rates on my credit card debt. It begins with a recorded message then asks to press 9 to speak to a person. Twice I have spoken to a person who quickly hangs up when I ask for the name of their company(Account Services) and a contact phone number. calling 407/000-2947 leads to message that the number is no longer in service. I am on the do-not-call list and want to know why this company can continue to pester me with unwanted solicitations.
I recieved a phone call at 4:38pm 8-4-09 regarding reducing my interest rate. I asked "what credit card is this for" They said Visa or Mastercard. They went on to say they needed my credit card. I replied "Are you saying you want my credit card number?" They did not answer yes or no and went on about needing to verify a number, needing my current interest rate, credit limit and if the card was in good standing and not deliquent. I said "Can I call you back when I get this information?" and they suddenly hung up.
Two calls from 407-000-2947 regarding lowering credit card interest rate, caller ID shows Florida call and the # 407-000-2947, on call back the # does not work, I am on a do not call list so will call attorny general tomorrow and report them, also check with phone company to see if this # can be blocked.
Like I dummy, I answered the phone, because I have friends in Orlando. Charlie asked if I'd like to reduce my interest rate. I told Charlie I have a 0% rate currently, and he tried to sell me on switching to their sweet 6.9% rate.
I asked if he was serious, and he said, "serious as a heart attack". I told Charlie my dad just had a heart attack.
