Sweetie, it doesn't matter who is in the white house; A democrat, a republican, a parrot, or a ballpoint pen with googly eyes glued to it - there will ALWAYS be scams.
So how can you, as a consumer protect yourself?
Learn what the scams are, how they take form, and where you can report it, should you see it.
Invest in a call blocker.
Take a deep breath, calm down. This is a forum about phone numbers. Ranting and raving about a particular party, religion, flavor of Starburst, American Idol contestant, or anything else isn't going to get very far.
If you'd like to rant and any of the aforementioned topics, google them, I'm sure there are dedicated forums for any topic you'd like.
at 1007 I got a call from them asking for me by name; the caller ID was 'Orlando'. They wanted the 'owner or manager', then asked for me by first name. I asked who they were - he said 'Daryl Strickland - Daryl Strickland'. I asked what this was about; he hung up. We just returned from a vacation in Orlando, or I wouldn't have answered; thought perhaps it was a problem with the hotel, the 'International Palms Resort and Conference Center', not a major chain.
Called wanting to know if they could set an appointment for representative to speak about their different health care packages never had heard of the company's name before and I believe the emphasis was on their prescription drug coverage although they offerd other things .
