Just got the call from this number for the first time today. All my recent debts have been paid so I decided to do some looking around. Its pretty obvious that everyone here knows its an overseas scam but I found an article relating to it...

Oswego police are warning about a potential phone scam involving calls about vehicle warranties.
Police were made aware the phone scam after a resident received an automated call involving an offer to update their warranty.
The resident received the call from (407) 207-0820 and the automated voice instructed them to push 'one' for more information, police said.
A person then answered the phone and asked the Oswego resident for their phone number.
The resident asked which vehicle the caller need warranty information about, police said. The resident was told their car was in declined status and the call disconnected.
Further investigation determined that calls from this number have been made throughout the United States, police said. Most calls referenced an offer to lower credit card rates. Police believe this scam originates from a foreign country.
Oswego police remind residents to be careful in situations where personal information is being requested and always report suspicious activity to police."
called from it as well; no message left; there must be a way to shut it down, even if they don't know from where the call is coming from outside the US
I recieved the call about 3:55 in the afternoon, but I saw the color I.D. and didn't recognize the number, but was curious, so I got online and googled it, curious if it could have been relatives that just didn't leave a message, and then i found an article in a Chicago newspaper about this phone number and the scams along with it.
I get ta call from this number at least twice a day. Same number robo call about my car warrenty or robe call that it is IMPERATIVE that I call about my CC accounts. Usually the caller ID is toll free but sometimes it comes up Florida. It's nice to know I am not alone, but it sucks we are all being harrassed.
