He first text from the 323 number stating he wanted to buy my topper for full asking price plus an additional $50 to take off CL. He then asked for my Name and Address. Which was given. Within a week I got a text saying that the check was in route plus a tracking number. Within a few days I received a package with a cashier's check inside. The bank was Simmons First (no Address was on the check but mine). Remitter name said Jason A Greenwood. He then sent a message from his wife's number (407) number stating he lost his phone. He then asked that I deposit the cashiers check (Amount $1975.00) into my account and wait for it to clear, then wire him the remainder of the money after it was shipped to him, to this person:

My husband posted a tarp for over sized loads, for sale on Craigs list. He was contacted by a man using the name John Green. He sent a check for $1950.00,asking my husband to cash it, then wire the money to a Charles Teal, in Fort Worth Texas. I called the bank in Texas, who assured me it's a scam. So I am reporting it to police and also the company name on the envelope we received the check in.
I received a text from a "John Green" stating he wanted to buy my drop leaf table, told me to keep $50 to hold it for him, then he could only send me a cashiers check or money order I stated I needed a money order, a few days later, he texted me from a different number stating that he was using 407-216-4052 from now on because he was on the road. So proceded to ask him again when he would pick up the table, no response. Then he texted me stating that the check was here at my address and gave me specific directions what to do with the check, deposit it in my account wait till it cleared, then send it to a Charles TEal in Fort Worth TX. I have a brother who is a private investigator and advised me to not do it, so I am calling the police as well.
Hi, We just received a cashiers check today for $1975.00 from a Jason Greenwood , 2232 Garrison Ave, Greenwood, TX written on Simmons Bank. It is clear it was run on a poor copier low on ink.
