We then exchanged several emails that convinced me I was being scammed, including these from him: Thank you for getting back to me.Can you assure me that it is in good state and that i will not be disappointed with it i read the conditions as stated on the advert,and I'd like to have a proper look of it, but I may not be able to come for inspection and pay you by cash due to the nature of my job and current location , the issue is I'm with the US MARINE and I'm not in my own state now I'm at the Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia and  use of mobile phone is not allowed at the military  base . But I'm able to access my email anytime as we do make use of laptop so my only and quickest payment option is PayPal as i can send money via PayPal anytime.Since I'm requesting this transaction to be done via PayPal I'm willing to pay what is good for you Thx

I will be having a private pick up company that will come for the pick up at your location to see it and sign all necessary document on my behalf after the payment has been cleared........... So i will like to know if you have an account with Paypal? and whats the last asking price?

Got this same text - Eli Gene Doisher - New number 703-493-0802 and email Eli Gene Doisher <[email protected]>.  I'm not sure what he is doing except wasting my time.

Please help others by reporting that email address to [email protected] so that they take it down.

Craigslist, Kiiji, AutoTrader, Etc. Scam:

The scam works like this.  They think your item as described is perfect.  They might ask a few questions about it, and then will pay your asking price, sight unseen, because they are never around close by to come look at it (they use the stationed somewhere in the military a whole lot).  They will give you an extra $40 or $50 to old it for them.  Then they tell you they will send a cashier’s check or money order for that amount plus extra for the “shipper”.  They ask you to wire that extra money by untraceable means such as Western Union or Moneygram.  The check or money order turns out to be bogus and you end up out the money you sent plus the bank fees.  Also, if the check is big enough you may end up being charged criminally.  Take the check and the envelope it came in to the post office and have them forward it to the postal inspectors.
In the case of them using PayPal, the same thing happens.  They send a fake email looking like it came from PayPal, get you to pay the shipper, and then find out that the e mail was fake and no money is available.
