I received a text message about an item I have for sale in which they would automatically send the money plus extra $50...will use a moving service for item. There was no questions asked about the item I have for sale which was a red flag to me! I would consider this a big ticket item & for someone to send money for it sight unseen, just didn't seem right. BEWARE!!!

Yes, this is sadly a very well known, and reported scam. The check you receive is fake. They will want you to use a cash wire transfer service to send money to the mover. As you can guess, the mover and the scammer are the same person. You wire cash & 3-5 weeks later the check bounces. Western Unions web site, and all cash wire services, warn you about this. Never use these services for an internet purchase, business transaction, or where you do not know the receiver of the money personally.
