I got several phone calls from two different numbers. 407-369-8754 and 813-398-7541 telling me that I had some loan from their company. They didnt say the amount clearly and said I had interest on the loan and I owed over $1000. He even gave me his name and put on a guy saying its his supervisor. When the guy came on, he had no idea what was going on or he was pretending to be. Then he told me he would send the authorities to my house to take a hold of me and all kind of foolishness. I know I didnt take a loan. This is scam and nonsense. I'm still trying to find out how he got my info, my ss number etc.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I have been getting calls from this person for 4 years. I have cussed him out. My mother has cussed him out and asked to speak to his manager. He stopped for a little while after that but has recently started calling again. the number is not always the same but its always the same person talking.
Just called my office number and told my boss if I do not return this call I will go to jail. Also left me a message sounded Middle Eastern threatening that if I did not pay off loan I would have to pay over $800 and subject to jail time.
