This number just called me. I let it go to my answering machine where whoever it was didn't leave a message. As I was looking the number up on here, I dialed it. Got a message saying it was either disconnected or is no longer in service.
I just got the call at 8:45pm from this same number asking to reduce my interest rate. Never specified who what where nothing. I pushed two to decline and nothing happened so I hung up. Got a little suspicious so I called it back and it said it was disconnected. Tired of the calls from telemarketers. Do not call does not work. I call them backand give them a piece of my mind.
We're in East TX; just got our first call from this number. We, too, are signed up with the national the do-not-call registry. Interesting to see the sheer # of telemarketing ruses this phone no. uses; the "number disconnected" response folks get on redial; the thumbing of their nose of the do-not-call registry. Anybody who chooses to do business with these scurrilous cretins anyway deserves what they get (unless they're elderly, or senile; that's just sad...)
I was told not to be alarmed, but this was my last chance to lower my interest rate. When I opted to speak with someone, I asked hime to take me off his call list. He said nothing and placed me on hold for the last ten minutes! Is this legal?
