I got a call from an unknown number, and i answered and the lady said i entered a contest online, and i won, and she confirmed my address, email n matrial status n number. well my matrial status was wrong. and they started askin for my credit card number, n that i had to go thru confirmation. it was 500 bucks for this 2000 dollar trip for 4 people to universal studios in Florida. i hung up cause i thought it was fraud...
I just got the same call ....I think its fraud too! ...if we 'won' a trip, then why would they want cc info?! ...I think they think people are dumb, although, im sure there are alot of dumb people out there that would have given the number ...thank god we arent them! lol
I just got a call from the same number and a lady said I registered online and now I'm going to be traveling to Universal Studio Florida and Bahamas. I told her I don't really recall specifically because I register for many things, and she replied that I must have because she wouldn't be calling me and have all my information including my address and date of birth. I tried asking her which website they have advertised on and she says there were several. She wanted my husband to get on the phone so she can provide us with the details, I wanted her to email it to me but she claim the company policy is to provide it over the phone and it will take less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately my husband wasn't home and she says she'll call back in an hour. Gosh, I knew its too good to be true. Thanks for the postings, now I'm not gonna answer the phone when she calls back. Anyone knows what will happen to the information they have on us, such as address and date of birth. Kinda regret registering for these things now :(
I just got the same call. Wow, they ARE persistant. Apperantly there are several Suckers in the world. Fortunately, I am not one of them. I really like this website, it can help people who may get scammed. I am going to recommend everyone I know use it.
This number repeatedly calls everyday, usually no one there never leaves a message, I answered tonite and said do not call this number ever again and hung up, she called me right back, and i said it again she said u don't even know me or why i am calling, i said i really could care less and do not call again and the was call an f'in [***], then another number called twice in a row that you can not call bacl, so I think it was her again, i would like to find the company as I want to make a formal complaint!
