I called the number back, said the call could not be completed as dialed.I then tried using 1 as a long distance call. When it answered it said, "Orlando Sentinel, this call was made for telemarketing purposes." I just hung up.
Just answer your phone and tell them now you are busy but if they provide you their cell numbers you will call them whenever is most convenient, like when they are at dinner, Xmas, ask them out for a date. If it is a man tell them you are gay and his voice is sexy... I do that all the time and they don't call anymore.
Messimo, you are a pig! But I love your response. I'll bet you have a sexy voice too. Seriously, be careful because your response as you described it, could be construed as sexual harrassment in the workplace, believe it or not. Besides if you make a statement like that to the wrong person, you may have to eat your words when they invite you home to their trailer in Okeefanokee for dinner!
These obnoxious telemarketing tactics of the Orlando Sentinel are bordering on ridiculous. They called my phone 6 times in just the past 30 hours.
1/22 @ 5:20 p.m. using 407 495-2113 (starts the clock);
1/23 @ 8:21 a.m. using 407 495-1964;
1/23 @ 8:55 a.m. using 407 495-2113;
1/23 @ 5:15 p.m. using 407 495-1964 (That's 4 times within the first 24 hours);
1/23 @ 7:49 p.m. using 407 495-1967; and
1/24 @ 8:25 a.m. using 407 495-2009.
My household DID subscribe, but due to a limited income, we did not renew when due about two weeks ago - no money until the first of the month. We were planning on renewing then, BUT with these tactics, I will NEVER again subscribe to their paper. Sanford Herald, here I come back!!!
