These people call two or three times a day. Sometimes it's the 407 area codes, other times the 1-800 number. They will usally put me on hold; sometimes I actually will hold so I can tell these people they are wasting their time. Today, they called at 8:30 a.m. and I informed them that I have moved back to Mexico. This has been going on for nine months. I have no intention of ever paying the bill that they are trying to collect on. It is a hospital bill. I told the hospital I would pay them (make payments) but that I DO NOT pay collection agencies. Their loss. Now I will be paying none of the above.
An ex-roommate put my phone number on her information over a year ago and they've called me ever since. My roommate stated when she got the bills in the mail that if you just wait it out they will decrease the amount owed (she had plenty of experience with this) but had no intention of paying. I live across the country now but I haven't changed my mobile phone number yet for other reasons. They leave the creepiest automated messages where it's a computerised voice trying to pronounce the name in a deep woman's voice. They called on Christmas morning last year. Try as I might, I have no way of getting it across to any of the people who call that I don't know her anymore and I don't have any way of contacting her so I can't rat her out if I wanted to.
Received a recorded call from someone on my business line, which is fairly new and never been supplied to any creditor. I assume, if it's real, they're trying to reach whoever had the line before me.
