I have been getting calls from 407 area.codes but I live in Canada and haven't been picking them up. I finally did last night and the girl knew my name and postal code. I just moved to this address a couple months ago so I was surprised when they said the current one. The lady said I won a draw that I recently entered but haven't entered any draws. She kept talking about all these trips I won and I just hung up. Don't give put information to this number.
I just got the same message. I hade won trips. The thing is I dont have a credit card, and when she kept telling me I did have one... i knew it was a mistake. Although I do enter all sorts of lotteries, contests and draws, but those I do enter, are free and local to my area, such as the local news and radio stations. She said since I did not have a creditcard I could not book into the hotel, and my winnings were forfieted, and passed on to the next qualifier. She did also know my name and postal code. How do these people from a diffrent country get this info from me.
My spouse does a have pre-paid visa, but it is only used for the purposes of sirius radio and playstation. I am adding this in case someone also uses these things by credit card, and maybe these companies are selling out info.
They called me and were really aggressive for my CC information. When I hung up they even called back. I wouldn't give them information until I received an email or something to validate the call and "Nathan" transferred me to "Bruce" in another department - but it was the same guy. What worries me is they had my CC expiry and address. Scary.
