Got a call from this number and no message was left. Based on other messages, this is common from this same number. Love to make these kinds of stupid calls stop.
Have called twice this month with no message left either time.
The Do-Not-Call list is not a list that prevents these callers from calling. It is a well manicured list of actual in-service phones. Contrary to what some one in here thinks, the DNC is a telemarketers dream. For a few hundred dollars, they get a list of numbers, that they can update every 30 days. And if you lose your number for non-payment, changed number or moved, that number is dropped from the list.by the DNC list service. What telemarketer wouldn't pay for that?? It sure beats calling out-of-service numbers or tending your own call list. Think about it... or better yet, read the DNC website yourself and learn the truth. Read between the lines and form your own ideas.. But, putting your number on this list is better, especially if you report them via this link: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm . Otherwise, the only other way to get them to stop is to SUE THE HELL OUT OF THEM. You have to do it for your self... Nobody will do it for you... and can't.
I have never had this paper nor have i ever lived in Florida. It is the Orlando Sentinal calling. They call me at least 5 times a week. On 4/2/11 they called 3 times. I answered the phone 1 time and got a person. I sternly told them not to call me again. The calls stopped for about 4 weeks but resumed again . I have been on the do not call list for years and filed 2 complaints against this #. They still call.
I haven't subscribed since the last terror of bill collecting attempts for papers they kept delivering after the expiration of my subscription. I signed up years ago with the contingency (or so I thought) that they did not solicit me at the end of my subscription and that it end when it was supposed to end. They had the audacity to inform me that they delivered those extra papers and I needed to pay for them. Another kick in the [***] is the fact that this company is too big for its britches and I don't appreciate having a Chicago office harrassing me on the phone.
If you've ever dealt with these bill collectors they have up there, they are ruthless and sound more like gangsters than accounting collection clerks. Their tactics are the reason I haven't subscribed again in years. Now I'm getting calls out of the blue, go figure. The DNC list apparently doesn't work on the "big boys" in industry.
I almost considered getting the paper again - 51 cents for Sunday deal. Do you know their post card reply actually asked for the cc #, expiration and a signature? And because it's "postage paid" they actually expect someone to drop that info right in the mail? Some marketing person getting paid big bucks to dream this up? I'd love to be able to receive the paper if only they seemed more decent about their business saavy.
I got two calls from this number, the first time they're was a little boy crying in the background. The second time, I got a voicemail but no call. In the recording you can hear a mother yelling at I think two children, one child seems to have hit his sister and is sent to their room and the other child (I believe the one who got hit) was crying uncontrollably. I called the number back and got a recording saying it was Orlando Sentinel, but it repeated a different number.
