I work for a law firm that has a strict policy on transferring telemarketing calls. When they first called they asked for our owner someone named Jason Alchek claimed he was from a "firm" named M & E International that has clients they want to refer to our law firm. Of course when I asked for a number to have our owner return his call he couldn't provide one and said he would call back and hung up. I flagged his name. A week later he called back asking the same thing but this time he said he was referred to the owner from another employee, (who is listed on our website). When I asked the other employee if she referred this Jason she had no idea who this guy was. When I told Jason this he became very rude and hung up. Then today a call came in from a Rita Lowell looking to hire an attorney for a lawsuit. The back up receptionist did get a number, (the one listed). One of our paralegals called and sure enough, it was a telemarketing company. These people will use whatever lie they can come up with to get receptionist to put their calls through. If you get a call from these people hang up. How dumb can a company be to think someone will use their services after they lie and treat people like that. Then again, they could be just trying to get a scam through.
