they are extremely persistent...don't take no for an answer, and keep calling back over and over. I went down the road of awhile on an early call, ok oki, but I'm in a hurry (which I think they loved), they wanted my personal info, and wanted me to choose which I'd like, so pushy, finally wised up. DON'T do it. Don't know what they're up to, but not good. no messages, repeat calls. Keep telling them not interested if I do answer.
Phone ID'd as Hilton. Telemarketer said there was a special available as I was a Hilton Honors club member. First offered a discounted stay in Las Vegas or Orlando. I told him I wasn't interested in either. He then mentioned a few other places, one of which was Hawaii. That sounded more interesting, but I was suspicious. He told me of two Hiltons on the main island, one in Waikiki (not interested -- too citified) and then another place which he went into in great detail. I asked him to send me the information; he said the offer was only available by phone. He said he would need a deposit -- he had a 7 night 6 day package that regularly sold for $1700+ which I could have for $1000 and change. I told him "Nice try," but I don't make $1000 dollar decision over the phone, and then hung up.
I've been receiving the same call. Caller ID says "HIlton" and the number is 407-722-3791. Calls come in everyday at anytime (morning, afternoon and evening) and no one says anything. They wait and then hang up. Extremely annoying and has to be some scam. Question's are 1) is there any connection to Hilton, 2) how are they getting our phone numbers, 3) has anyone reported this to Hilton, and 4) how can we stop these calls.
