Who called from 4077223791

I just sent the following e-mail to [email protected]:

The subject number (identified by Caller ID as “Hilton”) calls my phone (xxx) xxx-xxxx at least once daily. I do not answer unsolicited calls. The number never leaves a message.

After searching, I found this Web site: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-407-722-3791/2 that explains this is Hilton Vacation Clubs calling.

I have no intention of signing up for Hilton Vacations Clubs especially given the shady nature of your telemarketing. In fact, I am seriously considering moving my hotel stays to Starwood and Marriott…I am shocked that you have shared my phone number with Hilton Vacations and that you are annoying me with your daily phone calls.

We have been members of Hilton Honors for several years and have NEVER received a call from Hilton.  We did not answer this call but our guess is that they are a scam operation which, somehow, gets active phone numbers for people who have stayed at one of the Hilton Hotels.  If this 407-722-3791 group starts to bother us regularly their number will be blocked.

We just stayed in two different Hiltons on a recent trip to Europe and are now receiving these calls, so it has to be connected to Hilton.  Guess I won't be staying with them anymore.

We are getting calls from this caller Id of Hilton also.  They don't leave a v/m and we are not members of this vacation thing.  Based on this nonsense who would book through Hilton anyways!!!

Caller ID number was Hilton 407-722-3791.  When I answered the phone, there was silence.  I said 'hello' several times.  Finally a young lady asked to speak to 'Don' ... When I handed the phone to 'Don' ... there was no one on the line.
