States a payday loan was received and never paid back. Has some information but not enough and tries to coax it out of you. States they are filing an arrest warrant for you in three days if you dod not respond (which they cannot do). Gives a name and states he is an attorney (Steven Jones). Research on the Florida Bar website shows no such attorney. Sent the number and "name" to Florida Bar as it is a crime to misrepresent yourself as an attorney. Hangs up once I asked for his Florida Bar number.
This number has been calling me too. I also research the so call company and found nothing. I have contacted my local authorities and gave them all the different phone numbers that they call on. They also recorded the voice mail that was left on my hone phone and work phone. Now let's see what happens to them!
I, too, have been receiving harassing and unwanted calls from a Steven Jones with American Law Enforcement. It does sound like he is reading a script. At one time, he asked for clarification from one of his partners (I assume) on what he was supposed to read. In any case, he has been calling my work number as well. I know that this is a scam on every level.
