Got the same message as other -- he did not say who he was trying to reach (i.e., didn't use my name), just that it was his first contact related to documents that were unable to be delivered (hello...I have a mailbox right in front of my house!), and to call back Michael Phillips at Andrew Cohen & Associates at 407-792-0420. The call came in from 561-293-4298 on my caller ID to my cell phone.
I also got this exact same message on my cell phone. A number I give out to nobody so they shouldn't be calling on it. Also, I don't trust calls that doesn't use my name in the message so that I know they are really trying to reach me. This tells me it's a scam of some sort to get your name and number for something.
Looks like a recent pattern developing here, they left the "first attempt to contact you" message everybody else got. I called them back, but got an answering machine. I didn't leave any info. I have no outstanding debt I'm aware of. Sure seems like a scam to me. My only concern is how they got my private cell number.
I do not have any debts in collections so should not be receiving these calls! First they called my cell phone and home phone many, many times, now they are calling my work number, which I thought was against the law.
They have left me the same message. I looked up Andrew Cohen and Associates and found that they are one and the same as Gregory Adams and Associates in Boca Raton, Florida. A quick check with the Boca Raton BBB shows that they are not accredited by the BBB and had an "F" rating due to dozens of complaints against them. Bizapedia.com reports the company name of Andrew Cohen and Associates as fictitious. Contact your state Attorney General's Office and report them.
