By law - all phone companies must pass along every call. That's why, if they offer call blocking, you must block the number, not them. Want the law changed? We'll leave it with you.
First got a call on my cell phone labeled Unknown withing one second second call came in showing +407-845-914 Unknown. Did not answer either calls. No message left by either.
I let them go through their spiel. When they ask for my credit card number, I reel off 50 or so numbers, when they tell me it should only be 16 numbers, I tell them it's a platinum card. Alternatively, when they ask me for the balance on my card, I tell them $5.5 million. I've heard some remarkably creative cursing.
I asked my carrier to block these calls. Supposedly they did but yet again another one got through. Credit card scammers asking to lower my interest rate. I pressed 1 and spoke to someone with a strong accent and he asked if I would like to lwoer my CC rate. I said yes, ok which card would you like to lower? I said I don't know you tell me, your the one who called me about lowering my interest rate. He got flustered with me and said no you need to tell me if its a visa or master card. I said I don't know you called me to lower my interest rate which one should I lower? He got really mad said something I couldn't understand and I said STOP CALLING ME beep and he hung up!
