Someone keeps calling and saying they re from National Finance looking for someone I have never heard of and keep insisting I am that person.
I advised the guy that I was not who he was looking for and to stop calling my house. he ignored my warning and continued to call somtimes late at night and 6am in the morning. The caller once identified himself as Mr. Garcia and call back several times with my area code and stated he was calling from National Finance.

Tampa, FL , 33618. You need to send them a "cease and desist" letter. Go to the Federal Trade Commmission web site (ftc.gov) and look up the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). They will give the law and what to say to these people to have them stop calling you. Just saying that they have the wrong number (oldest trick in the book) never works. Only a certified letter (return receipt) telling them to cease communication with you will work. Try getting a case number or file number if you feel like calling them again, but either way, if you don't send the request in writing, they won't stop. If they continue to call, file a complaint on the FTC web site and use your certified letter with the return receipt as evidence that you told them to stop and that they ignored you. Good luck.
National Finance Collections. Keep asking for someone who does not live here. Used violent words and threats. Calls are usually late at night and early morning 7 A.M. + 9:30 P.M. etc. All Automated. They are not wrapped to tight. Mental Illness at it's best.
I got rid of my answering machine. Set up a ring tone from ALL the phone numbers they use to call here. No longer picks up. Also they use local area code phone numbers from Florida to look like they are from your own hometown. You can get that for any area codes in the U.S.A. from Vonage and/or any other phone/cable companies as well.
You cannot depend on any Government Agency or anyone else. You have to handle it yourself. Our Government System is broken. You can bet we are the least of any Government or any other entity concerns, that's for sure!
