Called me again today 7-18-2011. 1-407-936-9999. These @sshats just don't quit. I kept the guy on the phone just a bit until I was about to lose him because he actually got aggrevated because I didn't have my CC statements in front of me to give him specifics on interest rates per balances on the multiple cards I told him I had. I only have a couple and they have no running balances. I just wanted to keep him on the phone. He actually said less than a minute into the call that he gets paid by the hour and that he needs accurate info immediately. He used the word "dude". I finally let him have it with choice words mixed in with fraud, scammer, and low life pieces of ****!!!! The phone then went dead. I had one of these guys last year during the tirade part of my call, call me by my name and say he knew where I lived. I invited him over if he had a pair if he didn't like the words. He hung up. I wish these jack@sses would put my number on a list to pass out to all their scammer pals that my house is wise to them and to quit wasting my time and THEIR OWN and move on to look for some poor sap that believes their attempt at theft.
This " company " (Credit Card Services is one such of these "company" names) are more often than not, calling from SPOOFED TELEPHONE NUMBERS. They are using some kind of program that allows for displaying BOGUS PHONE NUMBERS on ones caller ID. If you call one of these numbers back, it often is not in service.
OR you get a recording saying something like " If you would like to be removed from out mailing list, press one "
The latter is NOT so common. MOST of the phone numbers when called back non working numbers. (IE., bogus) I haven't called one back yet and it be some legitimate company as I think they are smart enough to know
NOT to overstep THAT line---I THINK)
Each time I get one of these calls (Spoofed phone numbers or not) I take the few minutes TO REPORT the numbers. Both at the Do Not Call registry website and the http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?id=d1e37
website. It just takes a few minutes. I 'am DETERMINED to do my part to silence these [***]. Again: It only takes a few minutes online thank God.
I keep getting calls from this number. I live in Illinois. They call all the time. I get a live agent on the line and tell them to stop calling and then they hang up on me. I try to call back but get a recording to give an inspection number. Next time I am gonna blow a whistle into the phone.
This number called my office number 407-936-9999, when I called back it is a city permit office in Deltona Fla. I live in Illinois. A credit card scam is using a city office number as their caller ID number, clearly this can't be legal and legitimate.
