I got a call from this # a few days ago. They offered to sell my timeshare for a real-high # but wanted to a high up-front fee. They identified themselves as GMAC timeshare division. Sounded like a scam to me.
My mom got scammed by these guys. She paid $700 for an "insurance" and was going to get $2,800 per week (2 weeks). The girls name was Violet. Well, unluckily for them they have Goldman Sachs fraud division on their [***] because we later realized it was fishy and confirmed it by calling our local Marriott time share representatives.
In February we were contacted also by GMAC to rent our timeshare. The saleswoman was a good one I have to say. With her soft spoken southern accent, she urged us to act quickly because they were going to list our timeshare in the upcoming "showcase" on the upcoming weekend. We paid the fee of $1,000.00 in February and now we are in the month of August and nothing has happened and we are out $1,000.00. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and I intend on filing a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General, thanks to you. They claim I signed the contract and I had the opportunity to cancel within 7 days if I wanted to. Meanwhile they claim the program is designed to produce results within 90 days. They are good! They must be stopped in their tracks because this is just so wrong.
I honestly, don't believe you and if you have proof of receiving money for your timeshare I'd really like to see it. These people are ruthless, they scam people with the pretense of having your timeshare rented or sold. All they want is to take your money by misreprentation. They are actually a marketing company and to make matters worst, you don't even get your timeshare marketed or advertise, they are a complete SCAM. You claim to have gotten results, PROVE IT or shut up, don't help con anyone into false hope and get RIPPED OFF!!
