I received a call from the same number on January 22, 2008 but I didn't press any number. I just kept it with me to see if someone have received a call from it.
I assume that it was something related for a 'prize' but well, EVERYBODY KNOW THAT NOTHING IS FREE JUST BECAUSE!!!
My suggestion is that there should be a National number (or at least a National Address) where we can complaint about this scams. They are unsolicited and is not fair for cansumers.
I received a call from this number on my cell tonight at 6pm, I assumed it was a cousin calling collect from South America because the automated message was in Spanish. It said something to the like of, "To connect to this call Press 1", so in expectation of talking to my cousin I pressed 1. It took about 10 seconds to connect the call, and a man speaking spanish came on the line. He said, "You pressed 1 right?" "Yeah", I replied. "And you have _________(cell phone provider) right?" My gut told me this was bad. I immediately hung up and called my cell phone provider who could do nothing for me. My advice: don't answer the call from this number! Who knows what it could be!
