GOT a call from this number and did not answer it because the number had 176 at the start and I know the legitimate numbers do not begin with 1, Did not leave a message afterwards. knew it was telemarketer and did not answer the phone.
I have been getting calls from various numbers, including this one, almost always 408-1xx-xxxx, wanting to know if we need any work done on the house, such as flooring, bathroom upgrades, etc. I have probably received 20 or more calls in the past few months. There is always sound in the background of a call center. When I tell the caller that I have been getting a lot of these calls, I am usually hung up on. I assume they are not a legitimate business.
The '1' in the -179- prefix is a giveaway that this is a bogus number. None of the area codes have legitimate prefixes in the 100s range. Don't even answer future calls from any area code where the prefix (second set of three numbers) starts with a '1'...
