Yet another scammer or possibly a verifier before they sell my information. If experience is correct, I'll hear from another in about 30-45 minutes. This will be who purchased the information. I wouldn't have answered except I'm expecting a call from someone who has to use a landline. I always change the ring tone associated with the scammer because I don't have call blocking.

...well, it took less than 20 minutes for my number to be sold as live and another scam call received

This cell number belonged to my husband and it was hacked. It was used to call numerous people, thus irritating everyone. He was receiving return calls and texts asking why we had called and to stop calling. He eventually had to change his cell number. I called our carrier and they said there is an app that kids (or immature adults) can access to hack your number and use it to call whomever. I asked could they use it to make out of the country calls and was advised they could not. It is an extreme irritant to the person whose number was hacked. He was also receiving calls from phone numbers he did not recognize over and over again. No one would answer and if you tried to dial it back it was a fast busy signal or said the number was not an operating number. Our mobile carrier told us it happens constantly (and even happened to the rep I was talking to). The carrier is conducting an investigation of this practice with both the FTC and the FBI.
